Best Tool for Entrepreneurs

By far the best tool for entrepreneurs is to make sure that they are stepping up to the game as their best self. How do they do this? Well, it is not easy and for some it will take a lot of baby stepping. It doesn’t have to be an overwhelming process though. No one is asking you to be perfect over night. The best way to make sure you are showing up in your best way is to figure out which thing is most getting in your way.

Like for example, a while ago I was struggling with marketing. I had a belief that I was an artist. Plus I didn’t have training in that, therefore I couldn’t do it. Marketing is one of those skills that if you are in the Internet game at all you need to learn. After I got tired of how miserably I was stepping up, I hired one of the biggest movers and shakers in the Internet marketing game.

After six months of working with him, he declared me great at writing marketing copy and good enough I never needed to hire anyone to do that for me again. Yeah.

So apply this to you. What is really tripping you up in your business? What do you need to do with your thinking to fix it? What steps do you need to take. Figure out what you need and become the best you that you can be at the problem.

Love to help you do this. Give me a call. Since you are a subscriber and one of my peeps, I am offering you a complimentary exploratory session with me!

This will not be a sales call. In the call we will be exploring: A roadmap outlining and detailing where you want to go in your business and personal life. We will also look how to get you set up so yourself up to not succeed.

Would You Hire You?

Would You Hire You?

When examining your business an important piece to look at that is often over looked is how is the owner showing up? This is most often over looked when you are the owner.

So look at how you are showing up at work. First thing to do is to put on your objective hat. What is the job description for your job? What is most needed? Don’t look at what you are doing. Look at what your company most needs you to do. Then look objectively like you were one of your employees. How are you doing? What are you doing that is working and really helping your company? What would you be doing if you were running a 10 million company? How can you implement some of those things into your business?

Are You an Action Master?

Are You an Action Master?

I once considered become a therapist. In fact I had three job offers if I would go and get my degree, but there was one thing that held me back from that —I am not a patient person to slackers. I imagined having client-after-client come crawling in complaining about this problem or that problem, and be unwilling to do anything about it.

Ahhh, I don’t like whiners. I don’t mind problems and I love helping people with them, but I just can’t stand people who don’t do anything about their problems. They just want to sit around getting pity for their plight. Uck!

Instead, I want action masters. People who have the courage to feel the fear and do it any way. I am so inspired by people who got a bum deal in their life and they completely transform it into some huge and wonderful gift and bless others’ lives.

So are you an action master and look for ways to fight your way out of any mess, or are you a wuss that wants to have your hand held?

Where’s Your Focus?

Where’s Your Focus?

I don’t believe having focus is one of those skills most of us are born with. Being a mother of eight and running a business, it is one of those skills I had to develop or I would have been eaten alive.

So how does one develop focus? Well for me and for many of my clients this has required that we put structure and accountability into our days. If I want to get the results either with my kids, in my household, or in my business, I need to make sure that I am tracking what I want and what I want to do.

I don’t know about you, but when my two year old comes in crying and needs attention, I forget the most important thing I need to get done for the business, when I get back to my work.

I installed systems in my work life and in my home life so I don’t forget to get the shots for the kids and I also don’t forget when my appointments are with my clients. If I didn’t have the system, or if I don’t honor the system, I would seriously regret it.

Business Dream Team for the Little Guy

Business Dream Team for the Little Guy

I have been told by too many clients to even count that they can’t have a dream team in business because they just don’t have the money. They would love to have a dream team but it is just not possible for them now.

Well, is that the truth? I can’t even tell you how many times I have explored with them how to make the start of a dream team possible now. I always have to hush their concerns about money and look for alternative ways to get what they want.

We look at who has the skills, tools, or equipment they want. We look at what information they want, etc. We go on a big exploration of who they want and who that perfect person is and what is a way that they can get it by creating a win-win solution for everyone.

I have to admit that we had to get seriously creative, but we have always found at least one way they can get the help of some part of their dream on board right then.

So what is possible for you? Who can you get on your dream team and how?

Are You Suffering From Business Discouragement?

Alright, I know that business can be hard sometimes. It can be really really really hard. The real world can be brutal and there are people who simply do not play fair.

Sometimes things just don’t fall into place. No matter what you try it doesn’t seem like you can get a breakthrough. What to do when you feel like quitting?

The perfect answer is to quit. Yep, you heard me. Quit.

What? You might be saying. I can’t quit. I have to do … I want to see … but… Caught ya!

You see, sometimes by giving yourself permission to quit or not do what you don’t want to do, you find your passion again. I can’t tell you how many times I have quit writing. I was absolutely serious. I had it. I was sick of the rejections. I was never going to get it and I might as well stop wasting my time so I up and quit.

After laying in my bed for maybe forty-five minutes, I got bored and thought I will just jot down one idea. Before I knew it, I was back to my passion.

More often then not, this will happen for you. If you love your business but currently feeling hopeless about it, quit and see how long this will last.

What’s Your Business Saboteur Saying Today?

What’s Your Business Saboteur Saying Today?

Ever have a sneaky feeling that just maybe you are sabotaging yourself, but you weren’t quite sure how you were doing it? You look at your business and you are always just about to get “there” but you never quite make it?

How do you find out if you are really working against yourself and more importantly how do you stop doing it?

First off, what you do is invite your saboteur to come have a conversation with you. You ask him or her what he or she is like and you get your saboteur real comfortable talking. After they have talked for a while and tell you how they are and how they show up in your life, you ask him or her the sneaky question. You ask him or her what he or she wants.

When you have made it comfortable for him or her and get him or her talking, it will have a lot to say about this. After you hear him or her out then you can start thanking them for protecting you. Then it is time to tell them that you appreciate what they are trying to do and that you will keep it in mind, but right now you need to move forward.

Most often he or she will listen to you. Does this sound crazy? Will your saboteur not talk to you by yourself?

Money Peak Performance

Money Peak Performance

I am a creative at heart. There are many good things that come with that, but something that is not so good is being bad with numbers or with money. I like making and spending money, but math and accounting bores me.

You might guess that having that attitude with money did not support me so much when I launched a business and tried to grow it. My business and the money I was making reflected that deficiency until I got a mentor that demanded I know my numbers at all times.

He also demanded that I pay attention to money matters every day. I was assigned to do one thing with money every working day. It could be to put something on automatic payment, or to stop payment on something, balance the books, etc. It didn’t matter. Every day, one thing.

In three months time my whole financial situation had been changed. Systems were put in place that transformed how I did business. I caught problems, and I shifted from not making income to making income.

One action a day completely changed my money’s peak performance. I wonder what it can do for you.

If you need some ideas on how to make this work for you contact me.

Do You Have the Right Personality for Business?

Do You Have the Right Personality for Business?

When I first started business my husband told me in a loving tone that I didn’t have the right personality for business. So what is the right personality?

Obviously there is a professionalism that will help you rise above others. Skills like being able to communicate, showing up on time, and doing what you say you will do is a must.

Good news: all those things listed are not personality traits that can’t be fixed. Every one of those skills can be learned. And from my experience working with hundreds and hundreds of people, the two thing that determine whether a person will succeed in business or not is their ability to be open to learn new things, and the second, their willingness to learn how to be more disciplined on the things that counts.

So if you are open to learning what you need to learn and if you have willingness to develop specific discipline, then you are set and do have the right personality.
